Just a step away from the splendid Piazza del Popolo, the heart of Ascoli, the doors of one of the most prestigious historic town buildings - hotel Palazzo Guiderocchi - reopen, suggesting cultural and food and wine itineraries in a beautiful and mysterious land yet to be discovered. Once the dwelling of a local tyrant and a historical burocratic headquarter, the building has been turned into a charming hotel with 32 rooms, a cafeteria with a warm and friendly atmosphere and the restaurant La Rua dei Notari - all thanks to a major renovation of the palace and its frescoes. All the furnishing has been attended to in the smallest detail and all the guestrooms, although equipped with all comforts, have remained faithful to the palace's style. The restaurant, closed due to refurbishing works, will re-open in summer 2007.
